As a district, we believe in nurturing academic excellence and the importance of giving back to our community. Our Service Learning Initiative is designed to foster a sense of civic responsibility and empower our students to make a positive impact on the world around them.

What is

Service Learning is an educational approach that integrates meaningful community service with classroom instruction. It's an experiential way for students to apply what they're learning in the classroom to real-world issues, all while contributing to their local and global communities.

Our Service Learning Initiative is a collaborative effort between our dedicated Service Learning Liaison, the active involvement of our school PTAs and the hard work of our teaching staff and leadership.

Benefits of

Academic Enrichment: Service learning enhances classroom learning by applying academic concepts to real-life situations.

Community Engagement: Students develop a sense of responsibility and empathy by actively engaging with their community.

Personal Growth: Service learning fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Citizenship: Students become informed, responsible, and compassionate citizens who understand the local and global impact of their actions.
